Finding the air filter should be easy–it’s usually easily accessible right under the hood. Just prop the hood and let the engine cool for a few minutes and you can get to work. It’s usually as simple as removing a cover, pulling off the old filter and popping a new one on. Screw the lid back down, and you’re ready to drive your pre-owned certified Toyota all over Missouri.

Another filter you can change on your certified Toyota is the oil filter. It’s a little more complicated than the air filter, but it’s still an easy task. Your owner’s manual will show you exactly where the filter is located on your vehicle. When you find it, carefully wipe off the cap. It holds oil, so it will be pretty grimy. Open it up and remove the filter.

The filter will be draining oil, so be sure to have a container ready to hold the leakage. Take the new filter and wipe a small bit of oil on the rubber gasket on top of it.
