Toyota Yaris lockIf you’re interested in driving a hybrid Toyota through the streets of St Louis, chances are you’re fascinated by the innovative technology inside the engine. With fewer emissions and less gas requirements, it’s a great choice for the environment as you commute from St. Peters or St. Charles. There are other features on these vehicles, however, that are also very useful. They may not be as glamorous, but power windows and power locks have done quite a bit to add to the luxury and comfort of vehicles in recent years.

When it’s nice outside, sometimes you just want to cruise down a Missouri highway and feel the wind in your hair. Can you imagine how much more complicated this would be if you had to use an old fashioned wind up window adjuster in your hybrid Toyota? Instead, you can touch a button and without thought, effort, or taking your concentration off the road you can take the window down to whatever level you prefer. When it’s time to roll it back up, most vehicles allow you to touch the button just once. You don’t even have to hold it down to get results. Now, that’s luxury!

Speaking of power features, how about those power door locks? You can lock or unlock your car from a distance, so you never have to worry about whether you remembered to hit the latch. You won’t have to struggle for keys in the cold, or worry about scratching the finish of your hybrid Toyota if you slip and miss the lock. Instead, with just a button you can latch or unlatch the doors, choose how many doors to unlock, and even set the security system. Since the batteries in the remote are good for years, you won’t even have to worry about the power in them running low any time soon.

Power locks and windows on your hybrid Toyota may not be exciting, but they certainly make life easier. Just imagine living without them, and you’ll be sure to appreciate them even more the next time you drive your new or used Toyota.
