St Louis Farmers MarketThe air is crisp and the crops have come in, and it’s the perfect time to take your hybrid Toyota on a visit to one of Missouri’s many farmers’ markets. With an amazing wealth of vegetables and fruit available, as well as some neat hand made items and crafts, you’re sure to enjoy the freshness of the produce and the excitement of the adventure.

St Louis and the surrounding areas have quite a few farmers’ markets operating through the fall. From Hazelwood to St. Peters to Florrisant, there are markets in both open stalls as well as in indoor venues. All you have to do is look for their locations and hop in your hybrid Toyota and take a drive. Be sure to bring your own bags, however. Most of the vendors don’t offer bags of their own and will expect you to have your own to carry your treasures around.

The freshness of the produce is one of the main draws of a farmers’ market. Oftentimes the fruits and vegetables were picked just that day or the day before, making them fresher and often more nutritious than the produce you are likely to find if you drive your new or used hybrid Toyota to a grocery store. Not only that, but since the farmers bringing in the goods are local, you know that their wares have only traveled a minimal distance to the market. Your apples and squash are not only fresher, but there’s been less damage to the environment since they are only hauled a short distance to the market.

So, what are you waiting for? It’s time to get into your hybrid Toyota and take a drive to St. Charles or Ballwin to check out the markets. You never know exactly what you’ll find, but you can be sure it will be fresh, delicious, and be offered at a great price that excludes the middleman.
