Toyota Owners ManualWith all of the exciting reading material out there, your St Louis Toyota dealer knows that the owner’s manual for your new or used vehicle may not be all that high on your reading list. With libraries and bookstores everywhere, the ability to borrow books from friends, not to mention electronic devices that allow you to download e-books in seconds, making time for your owner’s manual can be hard to do. All the same, take it from your Toyota dealer—familiarizing yourself with the material can save you some headaches down the road.

To begin with, your vehicle probably has quite a few warning lights on the dashboard. While some of these are pretty self-explanatory, your St Louis Toyota dealer knows that some of these are harder to decipher. While you can always pull out your owner’s manual and investigate the light, there is an easier way. If you’ve already read and examined the manual, chances are you know just what that light is for. You’ll be able to tell the difference between an underinflated tire and an engine issue, and have some peace of mind as you make your way to the air pump.

No matter how well you know your car, take it from your Toyota dealer—there are probably features that you are completely unaware of. You may be able to adjust your seat in novel ways, set your windshield wipers, or even play with how the windows and the doors operate. Without reading your manual, however, you may never know about these features. Even worse, if you find them, you may not be able to reproduce them, which can be really frustrating.

So, why not just pick up that owner’s manual and peruse it? It won’t take long, but you’ll gain a wealth of information about your vehicle in the process.
