Why You Should Keep a Cooler in Your Hybrid Toyota

As your drive your hybrid Toyota to and from all of those errands you need to get done, there are a few things you’ll need. You may want a cool drink, you’ll probably want a map on hand, and you should probably have a cooler in your trunk. Yes, it takes up some space, but it could really come in handy in a pinch. Not only that, you may find that you will use it at least once a week, if you can believe it.
So, just why should you keep a cooler in your hybrid Toyota? Well, the best reason is for grocery shopping. Have you ever noticed how when you purchase ice cream or frozen waffles that they are always a bit melted by the time you get home? Well, this actually makes the flavor and the texture a little rougher than it should be. If you had a cooler in your trunk, however, you wouldn’t have this problem. Just pop those items in your cooler, close the lid, and know that they will stay insulated and frozen longer than they would in a bag in the trunk.
Have you ever thought about raw meat in your hot hybrid Toyota? Sure, you may only have a couple of miles to drive to get to your St Louis home, but by the time you get there your meat has already warmed up. The warmer it gets, the more bacteria can breed, and this bacteria can make you sick. If you keep the meat in a cooler instead, you can minimize warming and keep that bacteria to a minimum.
As you can see, keeping a cooler in your hybrid Toyota is actually a really good idea. You can keep your frozen foods and meat cool and protected. If you really wanted to, you could even use it to keep a rotisserie chicken hot. Just be sure to put the ice cream in another container, of course!
