The 2010 RAV 4 is Toyota’s best selling SUV, it was named one of the 5 Best trucks by Car and Driver Magazine for the past two years in a row, if the RAV 4 continues this year to evolve and improve in the fore front of the competition.

In a recent road and driving comparison test, comparing the RAV 4 with 8 other vehicles in its class, the RAV 4 placed first among every compact sports utility vehicle in its group.  While the RAV 4 is one of the largest compact SUV’s it is also one of the lightest weight vehicles in its class which obviously helps promote fuel efficiency.

Consumer ratings result in rave reviews.  It was described as “loveable and quick” even with an automatic the engine was described as responsive, smooth and quick.  The standard stability control lends to reports of easy handling especially around corners.

There are two engine options for the 2010 model which include the 2.5 liter 4-cylinder that puts out 180 hp, or the 3.5 liter V-6 265 hp option.

The RAV 4 is not a serious off road contender but with front wheel drive or all wheel drive options to choose from, this vehicle maneuvers well even on traitorous road conditions.

This compact sport utility vehicle has a car like drive and feel with the interior space of a bigger SUV.

Safety standard include; ABS, traction control, anti-skid system, curtain side airbags, and front side airbags. Hill ascent/descent control is standard on V6 RAV4s and included on 4-cylinder models equipped with the 3rd-row seat. All have a side-hinged cargo door. Sport models have a sport suspension. Leather upholstery and a navigation system are optional on the Sport and Limited.
